Mercury Marine Inc. is using Green Hills Software's MULTI® Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to configure and control the Optimax. The Freescale MPC555-based Optimax is a low emissions, direct injection outboard speedboat engine. At the "24-Hours-of-Rouen" endurance race in France, the Optimax-powered speedboats placed 1st, 2nd, and 4th.
"We selected Green Hills' MULTI 2000 IDE for its superior compiler technology. MULTI is well suited for Motorola's (now Freescale) MPC555 microcontroller. We particularly liked how the toolset allowed inline functions across modules."
